On October 8, Marina Mongush, President of ANO Creative Economy (the integrated center for the creative economy), will deliver a lecture titled “The Digital Future of the Creative Economy” at the Global Digital Forum.
The creative economy is inseparable from technology and innovation, and today it is entering a new stage of development — the transition towards a platform-based model. Platforms are no longer simply neutral distribution channels: they bring together creators, audiences, businesses and investors, concentrate data, shape recommendations and visibility, and define the rules of market access and monetisation. Platformisation is already transforming the entire lifecycle of a creative product — from ideation, financing and production to promotion, sales, audience feedback and the reuse of content.
Competition is intensifying not only for content and infrastructure, but also for data, attention and trust. For the creative industries, this is changing the very logic of production and growth and creating a new set of strategic challenges: from building transparent commercialisation models to defining clear boundaries that ensure the power to determine the cultural value of a product does not shift to algorithms, but remains with people.
During the lecture, Marina Mongush will explain, what does Russia’s creative economy look like today, and what role do platforms play in its development, how are platforms transforming the production of creative products, what competencies and management models does creative business need in order not simply to be present on platforms, but to design its own platform strategy, and what role do collaborations play in this process.
